LIVING AS THE LAKE

WE ALL LOVE LOOKING UPON A BEAUTIFUL, PEACEFUL

BODY OF WATER

JUST LOOKING AT WATER, THE DEPTHS OF COLORS AND THE

SERENITY IT IGNITES WITHIN US, HEALS OUR SOULS

YET, WHAT LESSON DOES THE LAKE MIRROR TO US???

WHAT IS THE TRUE BEAUTY IT CARRIES WITHIN ITSELF

AS A MESSAGE FOR US ALL

One must go to the depths, the innermost sanctuary of the lake

To see the mirror that it reflects back to us about ourselves

In the depths of the lake, below the surface is “stillness,”

Total peace

On the “top” of the lake there is always motion

Is there not???

There could be a winter storm that is churning up the water

And waves emanating to the shoreline

The water could be choppy one day yet serene the next

Outside forces; weather, people, boats are always and forever

Churning the “top” of the lake

Yet

What is happening on “top” is all temporary, it is coming and going, changing and evolving

Yet

what lies below is always the truth of the lake;

Peace, stillness, serenity

This is the “truth” of whom we are we are that ever same stillness;

That peace that is one with all the lake

The comings and goings on the top surface are as things are in “time”

Dancing, changing, evolving

Yet the truth of whom we are is in our depths the stillness and quiet of our true existence

BE-INGNESS

IF WE CAN EACH DAY LOOK AT OUR LIVES FROM THIS PERSPECTIVE

WE ARE FREE

We can watch the dance of life; ebbing, flowing, changing

With the KNOWINGNESS that it is a dance and the truth of whom we are

IS ALWAYS THE SAME

Living in our depth, our true nature

Witnessing life and blessing it

This is our true reality

The more we live from this depth

Observing

Being

Allowing

WE ARE FREE
