perceptions foolery

all of this we seem to see
and hear and touch and taste
is but a formless puff of smoke
our imagination has arranged
to satisfy a hidden desire
isn't it a miracle that we ,
if willing, can view
this desire's manifestation
and wish it away
with our forgiveness
